Train Up A Child

Nothing is more beautiful than to see young men being reared in the nurture and admonition of the Lord by intentional, present and "tuned-in" parents. 

Such was our experience in April of this year as my husband and I attended the 2019 Lads to Leaders Conference in Orlando.

Our "forever family" Bruce and Vickie Freeman and their two beautiful boys Bradley age 6 and Bryson age 3 were there and we wanted to support "our boys" as they learned important skill sets such as song leading, preparing a lesson, debate and Bible bowl.

Both Bradley and Bryson led songs and we couldn't have been more proud of their efforts to glorify God ... speaking to one another in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs; singing, and making melody in your heart to the Lord. Ephesians 5:19 NASB

It's so important that we support our young people and it's vitally important that we teach them daily about God, His WORD and teaching our children that what we believe MUST inform their behavior if they're to live righteously on this earth.

How shall a young man keep his way pure? By keeping itaccording to Your word.  Psalm 119:9 NASB

Who will teach them?

Their parents...

You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. Deuteronomy 6:7 NASB

Why?

Because we want our children to see God's face in peace one day. We want our children to hear "well done" because they "did well" while sojourning on this earth.

And in this very dark and depraved world that we live in, our children MUST see God in US (their parents) FIRST.
